Laurie Baggett - Agent

Laurie Baggett is from Tupelo, MS, and has built her career around her passion for agriculture and her commitment to serving the agricultural community. She holds an Associate of Applied Science in Agribusiness from Northwest Mississippi Community College, a Bachelor of Science in Animal and Dairy Sciences from Mississippi State University, and a Master of Science in Education in Educational Leadership from Arkansas State University.
Laurie’s crop insurance journey began in 2019 when she was recruited by a crop insurance agent who had been a professional connection for several years. Agriculture has been a part of Laurie’s life since birth. Growing up, she was deeply influenced by her father, a farrier who raises commercial beef cattle, roping cattle, and horses.
Today, Laurie and her son operate their own commercial beef cattle operation while also raising roping cattle and performance horses. In addition to her hands-on experience in agriculture, Laurie brings 18 years of experience in education, including 14 years as a high school Agriculture teacher, where she shares her passion for agriculture with the next generation.
Laurie is also a dealer for MIX 30 – The High Energy Liquid Feed and SweetPro Premium Supplements. She is always looking for opportunities to expand her knowledge, support producers, and find innovative ways to serve the agricultural community.
Outside of work, Laurie enjoys team roping and spending time supporting her 15-year-old son in his many activities, including roping, rodeo, baseball, and archery.
